The open floor plan is becoming increasingly popular in both newly constructed and renovated homes, which at times could pose a few painting challenges along the way – particularly when multiple colors and tones are used from one space to the next.

A good rule of thumb is to select a more unified color palette, which will serve as the backdrop to your canvas.  By varying the shades of your favorite color, it will set the stage for your furniture and décor.
